Formula Explained

The calculator uses reference values per 100 g of chocolate. Every type stored in the tool comes with calorie and macronutrient data per 100 g. Your entered amount is converted to grams, then multiplied by the per-gram factor:

Calories = (weight in grams ÷ 100) × calories per 100 g

The same proportion applies to fat, carbohydrates, protein and sugar. For ounces, the calculator first converts to grams using 1 oz = 28.3495 g.
